Chill pseudo-bossa nova covers compilations - C/D

Epitomized by the Bossa n' Roses - Bossa n' Stones - Bossa n' Whoever series, though now the field is much wider; it seems whenever I hate-Shazam one of these tunes it comes from a different compilation. Most frequently heard in restaurants during lunch hours, lobbies of boutique hotels, or if you're staying at some kind of beach resort it's playing out by the cabana. Usually features female vocals with a flat, emotionless affect.

I'm surprised at how persistent this format has been. I have to be in a good mood to take the stuff since normally it comes across as overly precious and even tacky. But maybe there are some gems out there in this ocean of material?
