Motorhead has a whiskey too.

Missed opportunity not calling Motörhead whisky “Orgasmatron”

I’ve tried the Grateful Dead wine (surprisingly good) and the Miles Davis and Robert Johnson beers (prefer Davis to Johnson), but not the Roger Daltrey champagne. I suppose I’ll give this a go, if I can try a shot rather than committing to a bottle.

I think any act who has reportedly had drinking problems in the past probably shouldn't endorse alcohol products, whether it is Bob Dylan or Eric Clapton or anyone.

xpost A shot of love?

lol

And yeah, the Dead wine is eyebrow-raising, given that Pigpen died from cirrhosis at 27.

Daltrey maybe thinks his booze deal won’t reflect poorly on him. And the Who already went through their wtf endorsement phase when Schlitz sponsored a tour no less than 6 months after Townshend got out of rehab.

Not a bad article, fairly in-depth.

Most rock stars have probably had drinking problems at some point. Not sure why it would disqualify them from hawking booze later in their careers.

the largest brewery round my way used to have a beer named in honour of Dylan Thomas

yeah. then there are brands like Delirium Tremens (a very good beer!) that go ahead and name themselves after something that has killed many people

Iron Maiden's Trooper ale is quite good too.

Get you a copper kettle, get you a copper coil/Get you a celebrity brand icon and photograph him looking authentically pensive in front of aforementioned props/Buy a tanker of bulk liquor and slap those labels on it and never more you’ll toil

I remember when Dylan did that weird Cadillac ad in the Bush years, where he was driving an SUV down a highway and passing gas tankers with a glance in his rearview, someone on YouTube commented: “Good car to drive, after a war.”

Bob Dylan also has one more thing in common now with Sammy Hagar.

Update: Dylan's company is being sued for TM infringement by a Kentucky-based spirits producer called Heaven Hill Brands.
