Check out this cover of Summertime Sadness by Lana del Rey
she is brilliant - although her last ep hasn't quite sunk in yet I played You Know What Its Like almost every day for a while there

It's pretty good but I'm not sure about the vocals

This has really grown on me. B side is good too

^^ "so much better" works better near the beginning & she really has a perfect sense of accumulation & sound design
― lowercase (eric), Monday, 7 October 2019 15:00 (seven years ago)
the more i listen to the album the more it sticks

I think I'm off the bus after this. A few nice moments, but the twee/grimy balance is too much on the twee side at this point.
― Doctor Madame Frances Experimento, LLC", Saturday, 25 April 2026 02:53 (five months ago)
whereas I have listened to “going out” like eight times today
― donna rouge, Saturday, 25 April 2026 04:35 (five months ago)
i like it but the cover is very Eat Pray Carla
― Cattedrale metropolitana di Santa Maria de Episcopio, Saturday, 25 April 2026 04:57 (five months ago)
lol agreed
― donna rouge, Saturday, 25 April 2026 05:10 (five months ago)
Really didn't see that Sunnyboys cover coming lol. (All the more so given "written and produced by Carla dal Forno" is all it says on Bandcamp.)
― Nag! Nag! Nag!, Saturday, 25 April 2026 05:32 (five months ago)
Missed opportunity to call this album Carla dal 4no
― Cattedrale metropolitana di Santa Maria de Episcopio, Saturday, 25 April 2026 16:23 (five months ago)
New one is just fine, but I wish she'd lean more into outward looking sounds than circling the wagons with one narrow bpm bandwidth.
This is just my way of saying that I wish Nite Jewel was still releasing records.

really like “going out” and the songs on the album that are similar to ”going out”
