i was hoping a much-hyped collaboration between meg and cardi would be better, honestly. but some seem to be genuinely thrilled by it on some level, so perhaps i'm just missing something. (is this the essence of Getting Old?)

dyl, Saturday, 8 August 2020 03:39 (five years ago)

if big stars like cardi wanna do raunch, they should at least put in the effort to make the song as good as trina's "look back at me"

dyl, Saturday, 8 August 2020 03:43 (five years ago)

the strain in the pfrok review to make this seem a Serious Woke Thing is kinda funny

the quar on drugs (Simon H.), Saturday, 8 August 2020 08:31 (five years ago)

Here's a question for audio/recording nerds: What is the term for the that static-y crackling sound that can be heard in the video edit of the song, every time they try to edit out the word "Whores" from "There's some whores in this house"? Like it's not the same thing as "clipping", which I believe is the refers audio being mixed to high. This is what happens when you're trying to splice a loop together and you don't quite match the curves. Anyways, it's distracting once I noticed it, but I guess this is what I get for listening to a version of a song that tries to make "Wet and Gushy" a thing.

As I also discussed on the show, my only real concern is that the women involved -- who apparently require a "bucket and a mop" -- get the medical care they require. My doctor wife's differential diagnosis: bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, or trichomonis.

The problem with what (Shapiro’s) saying is that there’s a difference between someone saying, “I have an abnormal discharge, I have a huge volume of moisture all the time.” These women are saying they’re sexually aroused! So they get very wet. That’s normal. That’s the flaw in his reasoning. To be wet when you’re aroused is normal.

it seemed like there was almost no hype going into the release, so i wasn't sure what to expect, but traumazine is quite impressive imo. i'll have to revisit good news, but my first impression is that this is quite a bit stronger. if you, like me, were slightly confused by the release of "pressurelicious" w/ future as a single, rest assured that that is easily one of the least interesting cuts (tho i wouldn't call it bad). she rly shines lyrically on several of the tracks and wow "southside royalty freestyle" is such a good posse cut. "not nice" goes hard and i feel like i'm gonna have the melody to "star" w/ lucky daye popping in and out of my head through the weekend

as for "sweetest pie", tacked on at the end like a bonus track, i still can't muster anything much more enthusiastic than 'passable', but you know what, it was a cute minor hit and i kinda enjoyed when i did hear it

dyl, Saturday, 13 August 2022 04:22 (three years ago)
