at first i'm like "obviously it's 'walk right now'" but with "can you feel it" and "lovely one" and "heartbreak hotel" it's not so obvious

I walked into a Korean bar-restaurant on Tuesday, off from work, and after a moist trudge from my car to the air conditioned foyer, hearing "Can You Feel It" was like being kissed by Taylor York.

and the Jacksons were never more beautiful than on that cover

Great album, but I can see 'Can You Feel It' winning in a landslide.

"Walk Right Now" is the funkiest and coolest track as good as the greatest tracks on Off The Wall.
I had no idea MJ had written/cowritten most of the tracks on that album.

Lovely One. It seems to my ears that it's exactly between the 70s disco sound, there's loads of brass, horns etc, but also leans toward the coming 80s electronic sound with all that warmth and punch. It's in a weird, brilliant hinterland i think.

Was Heaven 17 listening to it when recording "Temptation"?

Song-for-song it's on a par with Off the Wall, almost on a par with Thriller. It doesn't peak as high as either of those records, but is it ever consistent - every song, except maybe the merely-good "Time Waits for No One," is a minor miracle.
