My favourite Smog album, my favourite U2 album, and one of my favourite albums of all time

Never heard of Smog and fuck U2, so an easy choice, yeah.

i like smog and bill callahan but i've never gotten around to Julius Caesar. i would give it a listen right now but i feel like i should first wait until i'm feeling, really, really down. shouldn't be long!
i haven't heard zooropa but i really can't stand U2.
"come to me" is one of my favorite songs ever, and there's a bunch of other great ones on Debut, so it's an easy pick for now.

Didn't vote but this would've been a tough decision. Probably Zooropa barely beating Debut. Great albums that I think share a playful spirit

I had a roommate who spent one Saturday afternoon reading Siddhartha from start-to-finish while listening to "Babyface" on repeat the ENTIRE time. Pretty sure he was stoned out of his mind.

the best thing about There’s More To Life is the sardonic bassline, like, you could remove the vocal and the bass is still gonna say “wtf are you doing here”

Also agree with the notion that this is the best U2 era. Every other era feels too self-important for me to really get into. This and Passengers - which are sort of the same era in my mind - are the two U2 projects I like.

I don’t think I’m familiar with Smog, might need to listen to that one.

Zooropa:
The most fashionable album by the most unfashionable band

smog aka bill callahan is good, but yeah no real comparison among these three

i have no idea what ILM would consider the best smog/callahan record
