Noisey-ist Dance Song?

Anyone got an idea of the noisey-ist dance track ever? Y'know, combining noise and beats to make a damn catchy rave-up? I was listening to some 23 Skidoo and got to thinking...

"VIP Torture" by Panacea (or really any of the singles collected on Low Profile Darkness. To be honest I am not personally sure how one danced to his tracks, but there ya go. There are some EdRush things that are almost as noisy, but really early Panacea owns this title.

yeah alecempire/panacea/technoanimal are good for that. Technical Itch is pretty hard too. But as said on other thread, sonic dragolgo deserves a peep, try "Don't Stop the Music" which is seriously one some Merzbownian happy hardcore tip or something.

You can dance to the Pop Group.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 15 November 2002 16:15 (twenty-three years ago)

Chartwise, I'd say KLF "It's Grim Up North" - by today's standards it's just waves of sound. But lovely at that.

dog latin (dog latin), Friday, 15 November 2002 18:32 (twenty-three years ago)

Perhaps something by Third Eye Foundation, maybe "What To Do But Cry?". The durn track samples _MMM_ fer cryin' out loud.

Ernest P. (ernestp), Friday, 15 November 2002 18:38 (twenty-three years ago)

Off the Podville EP on Sabrettes. I can't remember if it's called "Melon Farmer" or "Jerry". It's a totally malignant pulsating threat to your well-being, in any case. (That makes it sound like jungle, which it's not - it's degraded metallic techno with swarms of kill-flies buzzing toward your head. The dark outline of their master, several buildings tall, is just visible, and more felt than seen.)

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 15 November 2002 18:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Jess, you've never danced to Quintron? I've never seen anyone dance to gabba. My vote goes to Melt Banana.

Kris (aqueduct), Friday, 15 November 2002 18:53 (twenty-three years ago)

jess (dubplatestyle), Friday, 15 November 2002 19:05 (twenty-three years ago)

Curtis Stephens, Saturday, 16 November 2002 18:16 (twenty-three years ago)

Actually, hold on, I have to nominate this one track the Legendary Pink Dots closed with the other night. That was noisy and very much dance.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 16 November 2002 19:03 (twenty-three years ago)

There's an early track by Meat Beat Manifesto track called "Kneel & Buzz" from 1987 or so that sounds like Merzbow over old skool rap beats.

That said, lots of stuff from Mark Stewart & Maffia's "As The Veneer Of Democracy Starts to Fade" would qualify.

donut bitch (donut), Saturday, 16 November 2002 19:15 (twenty-three years ago)

What do you mean you've never seen anyone dance to gabba? The moment you hear it you HAVE to dance!
