Sleep Thieves: Irish synthpop band / "dark pop" that actually is dark / no, not Sleepthief

also known as "what if Chvrches actually committed to their promise/emulated Depeche Mode songs other than 'Just Can't Get Enough'"? I've followed this band since the beginning of the decade and they keep getting better.

this new single in particular is very "by the power of sheer determination, anyone can become dave gahan," and is quickly becoming one of my most-listened-to-tracks of 2018. it helps that there's an actual build -- I hear a lot of songs like this that give the entire game away by chorus one.
