clustro casual - Not really feeling the shuffly noises on this one but those held chords are definitely giving me a nice Super Metroid vibe (an aesthetic I generally enjoy). Yeah, a nice sustained mood if anything.
splesh - sounds like something I would make by plugging a bunch of Reason modules into each other and setting the LFO at random. Sounds like a jazz quartet inside a 2D shoot-em-up. Some nice UK-bass styling around the 4.30 mark.
tt1pd - clearly the highlight. in some ways i'm left wishing it were somehow even bigger - the bass only threatens to turn into the monster it ought to be
acid mwan idle - quite into this one. feels like i just drove a Volvo into deep water and now I'm sinking
flH - slogging through 16-bit detritus. doesn't really do a lot in its 8.20 minutes
glos ceramic - nice satisfying saw waver eventually gets fed into a crushing machine. maybe my fave so far after tt1pd
g 1 e 1 - love the strange, eerie gurgles on this more ambient piece. makes me think of Graeme Miller & Steve Stills' Moomins soundtrack for some reason
nineFly - more aimless shuffling. not feeling it
shrimpl air - super stretched-out ambience. like a big slowed-down yawn.
icari - this one serves as a kind of victory lap of NTS 3. Quite into the sloggy hip hop vibes (a similar vibe to NTS 1 opening track)
Overall NTS3 is more about sustained moods and a lot of shuffly sounds where beats would normally be. It's going to be a while till I really get my head round it
