hovvdy probably doesn't fit the thread title, but their new album impressed me a lot more than i thought it would. dusty guitar rock with some well-placed piano chords, and some songs with trap-influenced drums that fit surprisingly well.

that's a weird name. i read howdy first. melodic slowcore. somewhere in between red house painters and pinback. very nice.

yeah im not sure if it's an alvvays situation where it's pronounced like the 'w' but they use the v's for seo purposes, or if it's actually pronounced hovdy

hardly seem to have listened to any new indiepop in 2019, and certainly not any new bands, as it seems the only indiepop albums I have liked from 2019 are all from reunited bands:
