eh, fair play, hope it's good

I'd rather see Brix & the Extricated, tbh. At least that band has some ex-Fall members that I give a shit about.

my impression when they announced this was that they weren't doing Fall stuff they just liked being in a band w each other

I just go "uh oh" because the album is called “Gastwerk Saboteurs
Then again, if it's rub we'll probably never hear it.

First single. It's...pretty much exactly what I should have expected it to be.

I like it, but then again I think the final lineup of the Fall is severely underrated in general.

I'm with you 100% re: the final lineup—Your Future Our Clutter is pretty much my favorite Fall record—but for real if they had started out playing together with a non-MES frontman I'm not sure they would have caught anyone's attention. The shouty part of this song is pretty cool. I wish these guys the best, I really do! just wish I could genuinely ride for what they're up to.

they probably wouldn't have attracted anybody's attention if not for the MES connection! there are plenty of great bands that get overlooked and ignored. i'll still ride for it.

It's solid, reminds me a lot of The Three Johns.

Do they at least have your gran on bongos?

Quite liked this. Good chorus

yeah this is pretty good so far! 'rammy taxi illuminati' is a garagey rave-up in the finest tradition

'turncoat' is also amazing. really enjoyable album!

this is the sound of a band who were drilled to unusual levels of focus and intensity losing their drill sergeant but choosing to remain drilled. except this time they have to be their own masters. but the ghost looms. it's thrilling
