Just checked the RYM top 200 records. Statistically, i like about 15-20 records from that list per year. now i found only 1. So unless the next 2/3rd of the year is going to be amazing, 2019 will be the worst

Sticking to the current top 10, Weyes Blood, The Caretaker, Waste of Space Orchestra, Billy Woods & Kenny Segal and Inter Arma are all great.

It's subjective of course.

Quelle Chris and Little Simz aren't half bad either, although I think I prefer the former based on a cursory listen of each.

Alwsys Lot's of hip hop and metal on RYM, which i don't like, but maybe more so this year

My daughter went with a friend to see a band called ... Watersports? Waterparks? Waterpolo? Whatever it was, it sounded miserable.

ugh, never heard "Dance Monkey" until just now. It's bad, but the wiki entry starts with the makings of a good short story.

my niece (12) loves this song and she's right

It's one of these culture shock moments when you realise that something so weird can have such huge mass appeal... Her commitment to singing like a haunted Miss Piggy is commendable, but it also freaks me TF out.
