the "lilo" song and video have totally ruined my life

"Saw You In A Dream" is magnificent - think I voted for it in the 2017 poll. The EP of same name is also very good. The more recent teaser tracks haven't grabbed me as much, but I will still be buying this.

really looking forward to this, feels like she's only gotten better since that initial run of EPs

I've been tracking her since the first ep in 2015, so this has been a hell of a long time coming (though if you collect all the tracks she's released so far this would basically be her second album). Of the new material, "Maybe You're The Reason" is the raddest imo.

extremely psyched for this. i haven't listened to any of the EPs - just the singles in OP along with "maybe you're the reason" and they're all fantastic.

I think I prefer her overall career to The 1975 at this point - maybe not quite the same highs but a much greater consistency

Somehow even better than I was expecting. Between this and Solange, I went to bed last night really appreciating exquisite synth choices.

After maybe the third listen “saw you in a dream” became maybe my favorite new pop song in forever. Steely Dan level on that top line ....

"somethingfartoogoodtofeel" is what the second haim album should've sounded like

“lilo” was a song written specifically to kick my feelings in the ass

"worms" is like the 1976

posts above are OTM - I was also struck by how much the sound of the record is very 1975 "at their very best" but the songwriting is of course entirely Bain's own.

Also I only learnt from reading Bain's descriptions of the songs that she used to date Marika Hackman. Surely we're due for another album from her soon?

stronger than the previous album, but like that album, I think a few special songs jump out at me more than the whole thing (in this case "Sad to Breathe" particularly)
