A thread for the increasingly ridiculousness of concert theatrics

and decided to check around for other theatrics of the kind. Turns out some artists are doing some pretty insane stuff.

and of course, Kanye's floating stage.

This is not only a mainstream hip-hop trope. Rammstein are famous for their pyrotechnics. The Flaming Lips had the bubble thing going on for a while, their whole show was a celebration of stage insanity. Some EDM stage design is Cirque du Soleil stuff.

So this is a thread to collect and archive those moments of extreme showmanship, concert design, etc.
