I can hear this -- I've been trying to figure out which '90s alt-rock vocalist she specifically reminds me of, or whether it's some sort of mental composite

I dont think I've ever heard a vocalist balance so carefully between animated and annoying

I thought this might be a bit more uptempo in the vein of "Tricks" but my initial doubts have been reshaped by how good a lyricist she is

The EOY poll playlist is forcing me to consider that I likely underestimated Flood initially.

"Lungs" (lead single) reminded me too much of Finger Eleven's "Good Times". Then the album didn't have any big standouts and no funny bits and I kinda forgot about it. But going back in a few times, it's gorgeous throughout. Still growing on me. Love the title track in particular.

A chance glance at a muted TV late at night (Rage apparently) made me exclaim "that looks like Ms Donnelly" and, yep, she's unveiling tracks from an LP scheduled for November 7.

"Feel it Change" needs the embed treatment. Excellent song and video too. Album seems like it'll be a little brighter than "Flood", which I still dip back to a bit. She doesn't miss does she

Just noticed that she officially cites Melbourne as home now. Felt compelled to check, as that hill with the radar tower *has* to be the one north of the airport. (Though she always did seem to be here a lot for a Perth person. That ancient "Tricks" promo clip was clearly filmed in the inner north. And she somehow played to an empty MCG with RBCF at the height of COVID lockdowns.)

Digging the slightly fragile melancholy vibe of the almost-half-an-LP she's now unveiled on Bandcamp. Less glad to hear that she's been through a bit of a rough patch for real.
