we were listening to a mix of the beach boys, and it reminded me of talvin singh and cornershop- mostly cause i had a crush on this gurl, and her name was asia (pronunced asha) and i would sing brimful of asha in my head all the time cause of her.
so anyways, what music reminded you of what other music, and tie it to a personal moment of your life.

The Daniel Bedingfield record really reminds me of Hanson. It's what I want the Hanson comeback to sound like--I'll never give up hope. They'll escape from this tedious late Steve Winwood/Loggins & Messina trap they've fallen into and get good again, they've got to!

It makes me think of the time I went to see Hanson at the Hollywood Bowl with my friend Tim. He'd gotten me tickets in one of the boxes at the front for my birthday. Hanson were incredible!!! The audience was incredible!!! Really the best show I went to in the late 90s. Tim died a couple of years ago, so being reminded of Hanson is always sad. I inherited his record collection, though somebody walked off with his Metal Machine Music before I got around to picking it the records, the dirty rat.
