Five years too late (to the mobth!) but have been listening to _Venus Armata_ all week and am doing so again tonight...and it really is the most perfect Halloween music. Pure frayed lo-fi organ drone and medieval folk melodies, like listening to a rehearsal tape for a black mass

The title-track is completely amazing. Red Sulphur is the pop moment sure but it saves its best until last

I think the reason I picked Red Sulphur for the metal tracks poll was because Genevieve the singer sounds particularly like Grace Slick on that song...seemed like kind of a neat twist considering how much of the presiding aesthetic seemed to be inspired by Nico...
