For a bill of 38484 acts, there is next to nothing I would see if they were playing for free down the street. I liked when these fests featured high profile reunions, but I guess everyone has already reunited.

No way I would ever consider going, but there is loads of good stuff there, mostly midway down the bill.

Genuinely baffled by the inclusion of Banda MS (Day 3, second row). I mean, they absolutely have an audience — this video has 680 million views — but is this likely to appeal to the majority of Coachella-goers?

I’m officially old. I only know half of the lineup and that half I do know I have no strong opinions about.

Sleaford Mods pretty big now in Europe and go everywhere with an air of excitement surrounding them - ie rapturous reviews, Iggy said best band in the world etc- in U.S they hardly raise a mention , PFK didn't bother to review the last record at all don't think

newly reunited (and massive draw) My Chemical Romance apparently pulled out of the lineup at the last minute - no clear reason why but it's speculated that they were unhappy about not getting top billing over RATM lol.
 
that doesn't really fit their MO at all though - it might have been the political donations and AEG is just trying to save face, or MCR just decided they wanted to do UK/Europe over the summer instead as they've been hinting at on Twitter.

Would be ironic if they pulled out over political donations, but RATM didn't.

yeah LN and AEG together own like 75%+ of the venues in NYC, and I'm sure it's just as bad or worse in other cities.

LN was looking to buy a mid-sized venue in my smaller city and every local venue owner and event booker appeared before the city council and basically said "keep those fuckers out of here"

i'm loving banda ms being billed so prominently on the sunday lineup
