Squeeze -1987 to date

Conventional wisdom states that Squeeze recorded their best material prior to 1987 - all those singles that ended up on the "Singles: 45s and Under" compilation such as "Up the Junction", "Pulling Mussels" and "Tempted". However, I feel that their material from 1987 is often unfairly overlooked and undervalued. What do you think?

For example, "Babylon and On" is a particularly fine album. The single "Hourglass" especially, but there are other gems such as "Footprints" and "Tough Love".

I only know 'Hourglass' from this period. But I have a soft spot for this band, so I'd like to believe you are right. Have we ever had a Squeeze thread before? Can't recall one.

In addition to both albums mentioned above: Play is notable for at least two songs, "Letting Go" and "Cupid's Toy," Ridiculous for "Electric Trains," and Some Fantastic Place for a gag gift.

Wow. I just checked eBay and Cosi Fan Tutti Frutti (their worst album, btw) is going for nearly $30 on cd. And Argybargy (their best) is going for $40.

To sell or not to sell...hmmm...
