Read the article here. Summary: the song "Rakkamma Kaiya Thattu" is currently topping the list, beating the Beatles, Zep, and Cher.

I wanna hear it! A google search doesn't help me, but it did turn up this awesome discussion...it's like the Indian version of ILM!

I may have found it here. It's the eighth one down. I'm totally unfamilar with bollywood music but it's interesting enough to listen to a few times for sure. Gotta listen to the whole thing, though, as it totally changes a few minutes in. Can anyone confirm that it's the same song?

WOW I wanna hear that song now, plus the no. 5.

If it were really the Indian version of ILM then people would be complaining that Rakkamma Kaiya Thattu is top of the tree YET AGAIN. And there'd be a kitten half way down the page. ;)

Dear Friends,

As Palani Kumar has said, Rakkamma Kaiya Thattu is one of the best songs composed by 'Maestro' Dr.Ilaiyaraaja! But to be frank, His talent cannot be quantified in any possible manner or form! He is as versatile as the world itself! Literally, there is no form of Music that He has left untouched and needless to say, He is the Master of them all - That is why, He is called 'Maestro' affectionately!

He is the person who has composed for the maximum number of songs and movies in the world - more than 850 movies and nearly 5000 songs! Apart from these, He has done a lot of albums and His Background Scores to the movies that He orchestrates, have been considered as lessons how to compose good BGM by all Indian Composers!

I dunno, I just listened to that song on repeat for an hour and it hasn't really grown on me. It's got nothing on Tunak Tunak Tun, surely the grebtest song of all time.
