I voted by kneejerk reflex for the title track and then realized downpressor man is my actual preference

hard not to vote for the title track, which besides being righteous and inspiring is also incredibly catchy

Just gave this a listen this morning to refresh my memory, and any song up to and including the title track is a worthy contender (including "I Am That I Am", which hasn't been mentioned yet).

Great all the way through, but "Downpressor Man" is the one I cue up most.

Such a great album. One of the few ones on which I love all the songs. I particularly like the extra track « Vampire ».

Vampire is the 1 "bonus" track on the Legacy edition that stood out to me

Just got a copy of Bush Doctor for a couple of bucks.

I think I paid too much for it. Ugh...

Haven't heard Equal Rights yet.

Downpressor Man 4 ever.

The 2011 Legacy Edition is pretty awesome. Disc 1 is basically the album, remastered in better sound than ever before, plus outtakes that were seriously considered for the album, mostly well-executed and better-sounding remakes of proven material (albeit taken from disc sources - they sound very clean though). Everyone wanted a hit so a double LP never entered the conversation, but had they decided to go for it, they definitely had the material.

xp Bush Doctor isn't a bad album IMHO, and I've always enjoyed the Jagger duet (which they did even better on SNL), the title track, "Pick Myself Up" and "Stand Firm," but it's definitely the start of a steep decline.
