"Black Parade" / Beyonce in 2020

"Black Parade" is almost exhausting (perhaps "exhaustive" would be more appropriate) in its denseness and I absolutely love it.

I'm not even going to try to do this song justice but you can talk about it (and speculate about a possible new album) here.

All I want to know is, will she be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned?

this song is great, idk why no one's talking about it. doesn't matter how high you raise the bar, seems like Bey always delivers. the lyrics are so dense with allusions, just a masterclass.

probably a combo of protest song saturation and the overall decline of the beyhive

The song is good? idk, I feel like I have used up my personal allotment of Beyonce Interest and no longer feel compelled to have an opinion on new music by her.

DJP summed it up for me. It's good, even excellent, but I don't find it thrilling like I might have a few years back

I think it's a great song and after listening to it I have gone back to check out some of her lesser-known earlier work.

I was being tongue-in-cheek, of course. But although I've checked out most of her albums to some extent, I probably haven't given her the attention she deserves.

it's a rly good song and i'm glad when i hear it but she needs to put out a rly bad song every once in a while to remind us that she is indeed flawed. i'd even take a great song disguised as a bad song like "7/11"

looks like the companion album is just a deluxe edition of the lion king: the gift that doesn't have the film dialogue snippets and has "black parade", an extended mix of "black parade", and a remix of "find your way" added on at the end

It's a reverse-race between Beyonce and Rihanna as to who can delay releasing a new album for longer.

i mean this is pretty much her saying the gift was a proper new solo album even though it doesn't quite feel like one

Ah Rihanna, I had almost forgotten her as a singer ! Somehow it feels longer than 4 years since her latest album. Does she even care about music nowadays ?
It seems she's more interested in her brand.
