I like the cover of "Unknown Pleasures." The cover of the second album is pretty good too.

that thing ppl say about Dylan, that covers often best the originals, kind of applies here imo. (though I vehemently disagree wrt Dylan)

GirlsVsBoys did She's Lost Control which I recall liking a lot.

Might not think a New Orleans brass band cover would work but it does. JD never sounded so fun. And a great video.

Radiohead's version of "Ceremony" was remarkably faithful iirc. Swing Kids's take on "Warsaw" also pretty cool from what I remember.

Swans did two versions of Love Will Tear Us Apart. Gira's was terrible, Jarboe's was great.

Oddly enough I just jammed Troubegum by Therapy?, the album it is culled from, on a long drive yesterday. It's still one of my favorite albums ever, a grossly underappreciated gem.

I noticed that the Swans cover of Love Will Tear Us Apart left out the quote from Then She Kissed Me at the end. Always thought that made it feel so much more desolate on the original.

Hm, interesting take on "Isolation".

I never really loved the arrangement of it on Closer so it's kind of refreshing to hear it done that way.

Has anyone ever covered "Insight"? I feel like that's a really underappreciated song, possibly because the production on Unknown Pleasures does it no favors. But in every live JD set I've heard, it's a highlight.
