Does Jay-Z say "bubblin' in Dublin" on "I just wanna love you"? Does Liz Fraser sing "Sugar hiccup on Cheerios" on "Sugar Hiccup? Probably not but thats what it sounds like to me. Does anyone on ILM have any other examples?

Does Dylan really say "Rosemary combed her hair/And took a cabbage into town" on Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts? No of course he didn't but I'd like to believe that he did.

Rod Stewart sez "You've got legs straight up to your gap" in Hot Legs... I found this out after hearing the song (sporatically, of course) over a period of roughly 20 years.

There's a page of Cocteau Twins' lyrics here. Liz only knows how accurate they are. Apparenlty, it's "Sugar hiccup or she reels" rahter than "on Cheerios". She then goes on to warble about making pigs soar and swoon.

My favourite Cocteaus' track is Persephone, and I've always sung somehting or other about a paper chase. Seems I was right: "Paper chase is on, These are on my speed, For he warbled, Bought arachnophobe, On the tiara, By the gin's rack, Paper chase is on, These are on my space."

Er, yeah, whatever you say, Liz.

Man I have to say I LOVE the fact than you can't make out her lyrics. Thats brilliant to me. You just hear her emotion, not her intention. I love Liz forever.

I don't know what I thought I heard, but it took a dozen or so listens to realize that sweet Janet was eyeing the size of a guy's package in "All for You."

one of my favorites has to be on "She" by the Monkees- actual lyric: "She devoured all my sweet love/Took all I had and then she fed me dirt." I always thought it sounded like: "She devoured all my Sweet and Low/Took all i had and then she fed me dirt." Having diabetes for 10 years, and having to suffer through using Sweet and Low as a kid until my parents found out that Nutrasweet existed... man, Dolenz was right on the money with that one.

I used to think Andy Partridge sings "Two worlds that walk a line" (rather than "Two worlds that won't collide") on "Another Satellite".

Just recently I found out that 'Paid in Full' begins with Rakim rapping "Thinking of a masterplan/ Def with the record/Def with the record." Somehow i always misunderstood this with "Death with the record" ending up as "Death to the record". All these hours spend as teenager trying to get decipher the logic of that masterplan: getting rid of the record when Eric B. is clearly scratching with them? Or does Rakim take the position of a sinister conspiracy to do away with vinyl so there's no more records to scratch with in that way killing off hip-hop, etc. Oh boy...
