If you are in the US, I think Minty Fresh is distrubting Caesar's Palace (but under the name The Twelve Caesars)...

four months pass...
It comes out on Astralwerks next week. They're now known here as Caesars. 39 minutes of bliss (in an otherwise meaningless world) is the album, collects tracks from their previous releases. I'm really fucking digging it.

I did a brief internship at Minty Fresh in 1998, when they released Youth is Wasted on the Young. It seemed like such an atypical record for the label (Minty is/was very lounge-pop) and I don't think it did very well for them. But in 2003, I can imagine it really taking off. (By the way, the label changed the name from "Caesar's Palace" to "The Twelve Caesars" because they were afraid of possible copyright infringement with the casino. I remember being asked for advice on what the "new" name should be.)

Funny I was listening today to their CD "Love for the streets". Is that an album or a collection?
And it sure rocks.. "Jerk it out", "Candy Kane" are esp. great

It´s their third album. They have their instruments locked in the basement of my dad-in-laws house´s basement, well in the basement of the house he live in.

'Jerk It Out' sounds like they've got Clint Boon on board

I really really like that Smirnoff song.

one year passes...
how come this band seem to have sunk when The Killers are doing so well? if 'Jerk It Out' had come out eighteen months later do you think it would've been a much bigger hit?

new album comes out really soon, but I've yet to hear it. I'm kinda surprised they never caught on as well, but that's the way it goes I guess.
