I had, uh, never heard the Biggie song until just now. Thought it was going to be a cover; kinda relieved it wasn't.

Anyway, hard to make a fair call between a song I've lived with and loved for decades and one that I just heard for the first time five minutes ago and was relatively indifferent towards, but LL.

The production on LL’s cut is more imaginative but I still think Biggie’s is catchier.

love both and especially loved hearing biggy over west coast production at the time. he has so many quotable lines in that song. its close but i think i have to go with LL. one of his best.
