In case you care, my favorites include:
KEXP Seattle . . . good all-purpose college station. Good weeknight shows as well. Swingin' Doors on Thursday nights is a great non-cheesy C&W/"American Roots" show. I used to live in Seattle and still listen to KUOW (NPR) and KPLU (Jazz) as well.
WMNF Tampa has a sometimes-great hip-hop show called "Underground Railroad" on Saturday nights. They make an effort to give lots of time to Florida acts; I live in So. Florida as well so I give 'em points for that. As a public service they report the locations of speed traps and police checkpoints. The tension created when three or more drunk and stoned DJs are trying not to cuss or play songs with cusswords adds to the entertainment value, especially since they always let a few slip.
WDVX is broadcast out of a 16-foot trailer home in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee. It's mostly bluegrass and country gospel, and they know their shit.
