Along with Robert Pollard and all his bands, I always think of Legendary Pink Dots/Edward Ka-Spel and Acid Mothers Temple.

Not to mention there was also their Piano Hub last year, as well as Kabza’s solo Pretty Girls Love Amapiano mixtape.

These are long-ass albums, they are a lot to take in, people might even say (and have said, on this thread) they can get a bit samey, but it’s quality stuff and there’s plenty of gold* as well as new and exciting directions explored on all of them.

*including song-of-the-year-so-far “Emcimbini” on February’s offering

And that's not to mention all the production work he's done for others in the same period, and counting. All of these projects are very (commercially) successful too.

Related to ambient stuff: not every day, but Richard Skelton is shockingly prolific, and while there is some...sameyness that comes in, I find none of his work extraneous.

Not just when he was alive! There's been a steady drip of albums since his death. There's been four 'new' ones in 2020 alone.

Filmmaker, my favorite new artist of the last couple of years, has released 15 albums and 5 eps in the last 2.5 years or so. It's all surprisingly good.

Pete Namlook was like this too before he died. Between 1992 and 2002 he released around 40 solo albums and something like 200 collab albums with various other electronic musicians.

not every day, but Daniel Romano has released about 9, 10 albums this year.
and not tossed off experimental/demo-y stuff or anything but proper full band recordings.
most of them are pretty good but that's *a lot* of Daniel Romano.
