people always slagged them off as second-tier Britpop but Expecting To Fly was decent and the songs were much better crafted than most other dreck out at the time. I'll need to listen again before I can vote, although I've a feeling Slight Return is the obvious highlight

voted bluetonic, and a good example of a band that put out a mission statement as first single and went downhill from there.

still listen to the third album which is a great example of post britpop weirdness from bands that realised their best days were behind them.

xp Bluetonic was their 3rd single though

tbh they were beyond dreadful live and I for some reason bought this album when it came out and thought it was rubbish. I think I liked Slight Return at the time.
