Well, have at it, then.

Search: Kakusei (my fav., his most developed instrumental work), Meiso (good starting point, guest rappers + beats + DJ Shadow "journey", ahem), most of Shinsou (destroy: Anticon and Antipop Consortium trax), Strictly Turntablized (stripped down)

Destroy: most of Milight, some of the s/t debut album (hasn't aged the best), and Ki-Oku (it's o-k) unless the idea of total hip hop jazz fusion doesn't send off any alarms, and his 3 or so mix CDs are redundant (but also possibly good starting pts)

Search/Destroy depending: Zen (unfocused but handy cross-section of disparate styles), Rebore v. 3 (depends on relationship to Boredoms), Reload (remix album, supplemental at best)

Strictly Turntablized is most refined and classic.

The Light (Can You See It?) feat. Mos Def from Milight is a really great track.

I'm really enjoying The Message At The Depth at the moment, also. Extremely moody and dark - I love it!

Also, off topic, is the general consensus these days that Pitchfork suck a whole lot of donkey cock?

The Message at the Depth is fucking grebt. Rec me hip hop / music with beats in the vein of this. I also like: DJ SHADOW, Kid 606.

Message Of The Depth, seconded! Song For John Walker is some of the best hip-hop I've ever heard.

The DJ Shadow mix of "Meiso" (Klub mix) is definitely my favourite Krush record. We used to play it weekly at the student union in Edinburgh.

Off-topic slightly, but does anyone know what the sample is on the run off to this record? The "world without hatred" thing; I've wanted to know what it is for years, it sounds great.

search: his more pop moments that aren't released in the states like aco ft. twigy - tragicomic and the new muro - hallucination single. just to even it out as i've been getting nothing out of his US-underground-approved emcee collaborations.
