i just posted this on the stones/bond thread on ILE:

i was thinking about nu-beatles as bonds last night...like if the beatles were the connery bond, then maybe elo or cheap trick was the roger moore bond and then oasis are the pierce brosnan bond, but who would be the david niven and george lazenbee bond-beatles?

This reminds me of my favorite game to play in my head when I'm at an exceptionally boring meeting at work. I sit there and cast the movie version of the meeting.

This also begs the question. Who will be the musical accompaniment to the next Austin Powers movie. You just know they're going to run it into the ground as long as they're making money. I'd expect to see a late seventies arena rock theme for the next one. Peter Frampton anyone?
