Is this a genre title you all use? I like this type of music

Is this as in a contrast to white gaze or a very un pc description of the Veldt?

like shoegazey atmospheric black metal. hopefully made by artists with benign political opinions.

Love the genre that describes, but that it one terrible genre name (although maybe metal fans are used to terrible genre names by now)

I perceive this as tragic, mainly in that it suggests a missed opportunity to have named a genre Shoe Metal.

I generally like what I've heard, nice way to make BM more palatable. but I haven't heard much. name leaves something to be desired (but shoegazing was a silly name in the first place). is there a line between this and "atmospheric" stuff, drone, doom, "post-rock", "post-metal" and so on or is it all blurry idk how these scenes fit together, if they do
is there also deathgaze, grindgaze, crustgaze, etc ?

While it's not overt at all unlike Deafheaven or whatever and this project likely doesn't even self-identify as blackgaze, of the relatively little BM I'm familiar with, I zone out to this in a manner very similar to how I feel when enjoying MBV etc (it's instrumental, which in this case might help it slot into this idea without any evil elfin incantations accompanying it?):

P.S. Chord voicings/intervals such as that used in this track at 1:18 seem esp shoegaze-comparable to me
