Just searched the board and there isn't yet a thread about him, so I figure stumbling upon this four-hour-long YouTube video interview with him is as good an occasion to start one as any:

He's someone I casually revere, ie. have heard about through so many musicians/music nerds I admire in turn admiring him, but don't know any releases of his front to back--since he's amassed a pretty formidable discography over the past decade-plus, from tapes on OSR Tapes and CD-Rs on Autumn Records to Happy Birthday with Kyle Thomas and Ruth Garbus releasing their album on Sub Pop to the water hose of song seemingly currently at full-throttle now that he's self-releasing tons of digital-only albums on Bandcamp, some guidance/curation/selection for n00bs like me would be ace.

four years pass...

Posted this on the jazz thread, but I love this concept - Chris Weisman and Pablo Held wrote each other an album's worth of music on paper, then each arranged and recorded the other's music however they wanted to, and then they each released the album of the other person playing their new compositions:

Then released a 5 hour podcast about it, lol. It's possible that the process and the podcast is more interesting than the music, but I do like the records.

Also really really enjoying Lightly, which I only now see is on the ILM albums noms list:

And of course he released at least two other albums in 2025.
