"T-Bone" forever and always.

I love "Opera Star" too. I enjoy the absurdity of guys like Neil Young and Lou Reed doing that "I'm just a rock and roll guy, I ain't no inter-lectual" stuff (see Lou's "Rock and Roll Heart").

I listened to this again just now while washing dishes. It's like they decided to make a record to transcend their frustrations, and then forgot about the transcending part. In a way, the whole thing works better than any of the songs.
It's the most conventional, but I'll vote "southern pacific" (though I prefer the version on A Treasure).

Apparently becoming one of my top Neil + Crazy Horse records. It sounded flimsy at first but whereas stuff like Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere and Zuma and Rust Never Sleeps haven't *continued* to sound as fascinating as they originally did, Reactor just keeps on being weird and awesome.
