Wow, great list. Miguel, Solange, Sky Ferreira, Usher, Twin Shadow, Jessie Ware, Beach House, Bat For Lashes and Chairlift are all still favourites. I would have added Rhye, but fuck that guy.

Had to go with Inspector Norse. We got it spot on with our poll winner that year.

Oblivion, All Too Well, Stoned & Starving, and Beez are all fantastic songs. Gonna have to go with Oblivion, though – I was obsessed with that song/video.

Kendrick Lamar - "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" would have gotten my vote. nowadays, I consume so much music and paradoxically (pre-pandemic) had so little time to listen to it, that it made little sense for me to say "such and such was the album that best represented <year>" anymore, but Good Kid, m.a.a.d. City was a rare exception, as I spun the fuck out of that for over a year.

"Adorn" is jam of the decade. Better list than the others posted so far.

"I Love It" is objectively terrible.

Inspector Norse was a zeitgeist hit on dance floors everywhere - at least the ones I frequented. I heard it in the wild out in the park just last weekend
