The Faust Tapes poll (because my feet hurt as well)

because i can never be bothered with track listings, i always sang "J’ai Mal Aux Dents" to myself as "chip-fat buddha"

my favorite faust album... this is an amazing record.

Yes, it's awesome but I'd have to listen to it to put the titles to the tracks.

This is apparently a new box set, now that Faust have moved away from Recommended Records.

Fairly sure that's a new set of track titles, so.

You reckon "Beam Me Up, Scotty" was not an original title?

My dodgy old CD version of this plays as a single track and gives no titles in the non-existent notes.

The one from the Wumme Years had track titles and splits, e.g.

3-1 Exercise - With Several Hands On A Piano
3-2 Exercise - With Voices, Drum And Sax
3-3 Flashback Caruso
3-4 Exercise - With Voices
3-5 J'ai Mal Aux Dents
3-6 Untitled
3-7 Untitled - Arnulf And Zappi On Drums

Apparently, John Peel read out a track listing back in the day, but it seemed he gave no warning, and nobody seems to have taped/saved it. One of the tracks was thought to be called "Humphrey Bogart" but I assume that's a bad hearing of "J'ai Mal Aux Dents" (or "Schempal Buddah" as it also became known...)

I don't like this as much as any of the other official albums, or even the 71 Minutes material. The instrumental/collage stuff is pretty second-rate (cause they used the better stuff on those other albums), and one of the songs is an inferior remake.
Anyway, "Der Baum".

"J'ai mal au dents" is not a remake, but I prefer the 71 Minutes version.

Well, you can't always be right.
