all i've heard is Smash Sumthin' but i loves it, is the version on his album the same as Red's single and is that album a good place to start?

Al (sitcom), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 05:50 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah that import only cd is supposed to be sick but ive only heard the songs on real rap albums!!

s trife (simon_tr), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 05:53 (twenty-three years ago)

'Metropolis' is one of the best jungle choonz ever! The Redman track is prety decent too

Robin Goad (rgoad), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 09:55 (twenty-three years ago)

That man really should have "My Dad Is Alvin Stardust" tattoed across his forehead.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 10:57 (twenty-three years ago)

Trife have you not heard "Stand Clear" with M.O.P? You have not *lived*!

Yeah KAOS is excellent, as is Colours mostly - the common attribute of both is that, whether doing jungle or hip hop, Adam knows how to use bombast to good efffect. "Brand New Funk" was great too - in one stroke it rendered all other past and future horn-driven d&b obsolete.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 11:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Colours, in my opinion, is flawless. I love it.

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 11:21 (twenty-three years ago)

From Colours to Metropolis to Brand New Funk - that's three defining drum 'n bass records in three distinct styles! Respec'.

By the way, was Kaos ever released in the US?

JoB (JoB), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 11:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Meant to say: From Circles to...

JoB (JoB), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 11:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Andrew surely that is hyperbole! There were some slightly less than flawless tracks towards the end as I remember, though "Apocethary" or whatever it's called is brill.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 11:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, maybe not flawless, but I love all of the tracks. Yes I do.

I think it's Aromatherapy - close ;)

Andrew (enneff), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 12:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah that makes more sense. There should be more jungle toons about the more honest drug merchants (cf. hustlers) though, obv.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 13:29 (twenty-three years ago)

but now he's producing Boniface - whats up with that?!

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 15:31 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm a big fan. Kaos and the new D&B remix of same are both terrific, I think.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 30 November 2002 00:50 (twenty-three years ago)

The Grooverider remix of "Dirty Harry" is one of my 20 favorite songs of the '90s. If some action flick uses it as the background music for a kung fu sword fight car chase sequence I will love the director forever.

Nate Patrin (Nate Patrin), Saturday, 30 November 2002 01:18 (twenty-three years ago)

one month passes...
Revive. Much love for "where my..." which is like "Try Again" but not mysterious at all.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 21 January 2003 21:41 (twenty-three years ago)

But "Christmas Party" by 3LW feat Treach is like the same thing but with more groove.

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 21 January 2003 22:32 (twenty-three years ago)

eleven years pass...

Love "Colours" so much.
