Who kicks more ass completely 100% to the limit? I can't even give an opinion because they both kick so much ass it makes me want to crap my pants.

TOM MORELLO

aetjh, Tuesday, 26 November 2002 11:18 (twenty-three years ago)

My God, Euroboy is so much better. Slash is pretty good, especially on G&R's more sweeping songs, but Euroboy can pull out all the stops. Slash is more popular but let's face it, Euroboy's from Norway, the odds are against World audiences having even been exposed to his work. Just listen to the solos on APOCALYPSE DUDES ('specially the little lead lines played against the vocals on "Don't Say Motherfucker, Motherfucker") or the live stuff circulating on slsk (try for "Rock Against Ass", he solos almost all the way through it). If Turbo can stay together for another couple records they're gonna be freakin' huge. Tom Morello, my ass. He's lively, and the scratchy effects are new and clever, but he's inaccurate and haphazard.

matt riedl (veal), Tuesday, 26 November 2002 17:26 (twenty-three years ago)

slash's new band

keith (keithmcl), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 04:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Matt,
I agree. And I now consider you my brother. Tell me who you want whacked, you got it. You see, back in 91 when I was in 6th grade, Slash made me pick up the guitar, and you gotta admit, G'n'R used to kick ass, even though Axl's a tard.

Euroboy kicks loads of ass.

aetjh (how do you pronounce that?)
Tom Morello is pretty inventive, but I'm asking about straight up blues-rock minor penatonic riff demons here, so spend your RATM fetish somewhere else. Ok, nevermind that last comment, I'm drunk and, that makes me mean, so aetjh, you're my semi-brother. I'll spit on whoever you want.

Otis Wheeler to thread!!!!!!!!!

Dave M. (rotten03), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 05:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Someone said one ILM that I was Otis Wheeler once. That must mean that people think there's only 3 or 5 TRBNG fans in the world.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 06:08 (twenty-three years ago)

There are. The rest are Ally, Kris and a rotating crew of reprobates to fill up the fifth spot.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 06:17 (twenty-three years ago)

That's not right, Ned, I bet at least 13 or 14 gay male pedophiles are Turbonegro fans based on "Midnight NAMBLA". Man, am I drunk tonight.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 06:21 (twenty-three years ago)

I'll let you know, Helltime (brother). See you at the Trbngr shows across the states (I'm prayin').

matt riedl (veal), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 20:22 (twenty-three years ago)

Euroboy. Did Slash ever play guitar on Axl's shoulders? No, thought not. Slash is a clown, Euroboy's a genius.

Arthur (Arthur), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 20:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Euroboy is the guitarist in the greatest band of all time. Slash is not.

Kris (aqueduct), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 21:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Someone said one ILM that I was Otis Wheeler once.

Probably Fred. He thought Kris and Otis were the same person too. Don't Say Motherfucker Motherfucker is one of the greatest songs of all time and that's a fantastic song title to boot. Euroboy wins just on the basis of being called Euroboy for fuck's sake.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 28 November 2002 02:25 (twenty-three years ago)

Whenever I see his name I just think of the Pet Shop Boys' song "Euroboy." Which may be the point.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 28 November 2002 02:35 (twenty-three years ago)

Euroboy could definitely kick the Pet Shop Boyss ass.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 28 November 2002 02:41 (twenty-three years ago)

My dead grandmother could do that. That's the point!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 28 November 2002 02:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Haha those two s's that I put on "Boys" makes them almost look hardcore!

I mean, how could you not?

FUUUUCKKK! That was the best photo, too.

Arthur (Arthur), Thursday, 28 November 2002 03:39 (twenty-three years ago)

Maybe this will work, unless it's the Curse of Zolar X and it's just never meant to appear...

"Ethnic hairstyles / Sloppy male hippies / Retro punks / People with thick glasses / Glorifying serial killers / Hobbit Motherfuckers / No guts / No glory / No riots / I've had enough / My generation sucks / I agree / My generation sucks / Cyber idiots / With pierced scrotums / Copulating with animals / In cars parked outside the rave parties / Not enough war / Not enough famine / Not enough suffering / Not enough natural selection / That's what I say / My generation sucks / I've had enough / My generation sucks"

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 28 November 2002 04:15 (twenty-three years ago)

This is the best thread I've ever started.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Friday, 29 November 2002 01:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I AGREE!

Kris (aqueduct), Friday, 29 November 2002 22:14 (twenty-three years ago)

I love Turbonegro so far.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Thursday, 5 December 2002 00:27 (twenty-three years ago)

So far? Look, sundar, Turbonegro is a lifelong commitment. You can't just up and decide to start a Turbojugend chapter, and then move on to something else the next week. We need a little more conviction than that.

Helltime Producto (Pavlik), Thursday, 5 December 2002 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Well, I only downloaded three songs so far.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Thursday, 5 December 2002 00:51 (twenty-three years ago)

But "Get It On" kicks Slash by itself.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Thursday, 5 December 2002 00:52 (twenty-three years ago)

Why do American punk rock boys always go out with American new wave hooker girls?

I don't know. I don't like it.

webcrack (music=crack), Thursday, 5 December 2002 01:30 (twenty-three years ago)

You can't just up and decide to start a Turbojugend chapter, and then move on to something else the next week.

Why not? That's what I would do.

What songs Sundar?? Download Hobbit Motherfuckers and Age of Pamparius! You think you've had pizza?? Well not like this!!!

Ally New Wave Hooker Girl (mlescaut), Thursday, 5 December 2002 03:22 (twenty-three years ago)

"Get It On", "Self-Destructo Bust", and "Denim Demon" were the ones I was able to find. I'd heard "Age of Pamparius" in a store before.

sundar subramanian (sundar), Thursday, 5 December 2002 22:14 (twenty-three years ago)

You couldn't find I Got Erection? That's the easiest one to find. For some reason there are tons of Turbonegro tracks on Kazaa all the time, it's bizarre.

I think my favorite is still "Don't Say Motherfucker, Motherfucker" for the title alone.

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 6 December 2002 02:36 (twenty-three years ago)

I dare someone to argue against "Hobbit Motherfuckers" being the greatest song of all time. It's 20 seconds shorter than and produced better than "Hybrid Moments", the only other candidate. Also, can it be merely coincidence that the two greatest songs of all time share the same initials? Heavy fucking Metal

Kris (aqueduct), Friday, 6 December 2002 05:02 (twenty-three years ago)

'I think my favorite is still "Don't Say Motherfucker, Motherfucker" for the title alone.'

I have a t-shirt w/ the same printed across the front in red Gothic type and it seems like whenever I wear it at least one or two people raise their fists in the air and yell 'TURBOJUGEND1' at me... this keyboard has no shift key, btw, so, uh, 1 = exclamation mark, etc. etc.

OCP (OCP), Friday, 6 December 2002 05:14 (twenty-three years ago)

two years pass...
EUROBOY kicks all ass. Euroboy is a hero in his own right. F*cking awesome.

random_amy, Tuesday, 24 May 2005 15:40 (twenty years ago)

two years pass...

Lately I'm going with Slash. Although Ass Cobra and Apocalypse Dudes are perfect, so was Appetite, and as much bunk shit was on the Illusion records, those were nowhere as disappointing to me as Scandinavian Leather, Party Animals, and whatever that last one was.

Helltime Redux, Tuesday, 15 January 2008 06:00 (eighteen years ago)

i wish euroboy were a boss in guitar hero III

stevie, Tuesday, 15 January 2008 09:28 (eighteen years ago)

Slash is a better guitar player than Euroboy. Turboneger plays better music than GnR though. Not to mention Hank Von Helvete is at least slightly less of a douche than Axl Rose.

You guys aware that Euroboy started out as the leader of Kåre & The Caveman, who were basically revamping the style of Duane Eddy and Hank Marvin?

Geir Hongro, Tuesday, 15 January 2008 12:29 (eighteen years ago)

define 'better'. no, actually, don't, i don't care.

stevie, Tuesday, 15 January 2008 14:08 (eighteen years ago)

I knew that Geir, never heard anything by them though
