so glad someone besides me is repping for this song on ilx. have to give it a listen and a think... but off the top of my head i feel like LL is working the hardest to keep things interesting? like Meth and Coolio both start strong but peter out a bit (Coolio's verse is pretty short tbf). feels weird not to rate a mid-90s Busta Rhymes guest verse highly, but imo/iirc he kinda phones this one in.

i think it's method man, helps that this is basically a method man-type beat. cool james gets points for his promise to get political like bob dole.

all of them are undermined by the clumsy hoops references they feel compelled to shoehorn in.

Meth def has the most technical flow, but I think I gotta give it up to Cool J because that opening bar is so memorable/phenomenal + the "snatchin up their bunnies" line + the killer smoothness of "you in it for the money or in it for the love"

between this and Da Riddla, Meth was on some soundtrack tip in the 90s

weirdly this is the only song besides the one by he should not be named that I remember from the soundtrack.

yeah after a fresh listen i do think this is LL's. i do love Meth's stuff up through "untamed - you won't like it when i change." i already basically can't remember Busta's verse. maybe he's ill-served by the beat, as much as Meth is buttressed by it. overall a pretty good song for being the villain anthem for a lightweight corportate synergy showcase/kids' movie.
