Because there is no thread

And I didn’t even know there was a 2019 Delines album. Trying to remember when exactly Amy had her car accident.

spring of 2016 was Amy's accident
i reviewed the 2019 album ... it's nothing surprising, but solid as a rock. she sounds terrific, and they're definitely Vlautin songs.

I really loved "Colfax", played it over and over. Eventually realised it was making me really unhappy. I'm all about the glorious catharsis of sad art and all that, but something about it properly bummed me out. So, I put it on the shelf and haven't really revisited it, though I could probably recite the words of each song to you if I put my mind to it.
I missed the second LP completely and just now saw there's a new one. There's a Rough Trade special with an extra CD of bits and bobs, and I'm tempted. They're playing at the beautiful, echoey, arts & crafts gothic Union Chapel in London, which is the perfect venue for them, and again I'm tempted. But I feel a bit scared of going back to them, like I'm a character in some MR James story looking sideways at a fascinating, cursed document.
How is the new record?

The new Delines album is v good, musically and lyrically. The music feels like it could veer into lounge kitsch, but it doesn't because the lyrics are so not that.
