Do you think the old guard record reviewers of the past secretly thought "Pretty People get by on their looks, but only the homely have real talent!"
(hum a few bars of Roy Orbison singing "Only the Homely...")
Its been said by some that a mediocre talent with a pretty face will get to the top quicker than a genious with a mug like a car wreck.
Do you agree? Disagree? Can you cite examples or counter-examples?
