Admittedly I hadn't paid attention to Pulse in at least ten years, but it seemed that some folks still read it.

i second dan's opinion. actually, it sort of came true here where i live. they closed a couple of tower records stores. and they stopped bringing pulse in quite a while before that. i was always very fond of that magazine.

I think what amuses me about that Taylor piece is that he's assuming that everyone interested in music is going to be as obsessed/wanting instant gratification and knowledge as he is. Which I'm not so sure about...
