Hasn't it been sold out for months, even before they announced the headliners? Anyway, people who go to fests like this don't give a shit about the music. It's all about the experience, maaan. Which I think these days means hats, drugs and Instagram.

He's super charismatic, but it's all about the rabid fan base that dresses up and consciously radiates positive vibes. My daughter saw him twice on this recent tour, which came after several months/years of delays, and his (literal) followers are a dedicated sort.

Styles is a perfect nostalgia act for college kids who were in their early teens when One Direction was the biggest band on earth.

There might be a bit of that, but not to be Captain save a Harry, it's not really what he seems to be about these days. Like, he doesn't play One Direction songs or anything. It's more like a rock Justin Timberlake thing going on. When I saw JT on those first few solo tours I didn't get a real sense of lingering N'Sync stink or anything.
