Stop piddling around with electronic bleepage, and right some proper tunes on the geetar like in the days of yore. Follow example of kings of rock and roll, U2 and Oasis, abandoning silly music championed by stupid Muse-hating rock critics to deliver true excellence!

Jamie Thompson (Jamie), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 13:54 (twenty-three years ago)

I've come across far too much U2 slash fiction recently. I DO NOT GET IT.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 14:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I heard that rumour about him leaving GnR to replace the Edge as well.

Shame.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 14:09 (twenty-three years ago)

HOWARD JOHNSON IS RIGHT! Yo Yorke, do dick jokes! We no want to hear about the Pressydint Booooosch and no logo by patsy cline we want to hear dick jokes!

Tommie Jameson, Wednesday, 27 November 2002 14:11 (twenty-three years ago)

You are a dick joke.

Jamie Thompson (Jamie), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 14:17 (twenty-three years ago)

Thom Yorke says Radiohead's next record is gonna be a "shagging record". And, on top of that, it even features guitars that sound like GEETARS!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!

Personally, I love their "electronic bleepage". They do it very, very well, especially compared to some others who do the electronic bleepage as their primary means of composition.

Oh, I'm talking 'bout Radiohead still. I don't remember REM doing any bloop & bleep shit recently...of course, I haven't listened to them since Automatic for the People, so maybe that has something to do with it...and vice versa.

An idea for another thread...what groups would we like to see go into a phase of electronic bloop-n-bleep experimentation? I'm getting visions of a Matmos'd out Mr. Bungle album...

Brrrrr. The words "Thom Yorke" and "shagging" do NOT belong in the same sentence.
I going to lie down now until the room and my stomach stop spinning.

U2 has just been releasing the same song over and over since '92.. you just don't realize it.

"you are a dick joke"

Readers will note, with the above feeble response, how the mask of the troll always slips after a dozen or so posts. The persona is difficult to perpetuate with any degree of constancy, and inspiration usually tends to run dry sooner rather than later.

Tommie Jameson, Wednesday, 27 November 2002 15:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Why would anyone in their right mind want to have sex to Radiohead?

I don't believe that quote is real, btw.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 15:19 (twenty-three years ago)

*how the mask of the troll always slips after a dozen or so posts*

What's a troll? Screw you, dick joke.

Jamie Thompson (Jamie), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 15:26 (twenty-three years ago)

I demonstrate my point, readers. Bereft of his slim repertoire of "humour," we observe how Mr Thompson has been reduced to falling back on the base level of unimaginative insults and abuse.

BONG!! Sorry Mr Thompson, you lose. Better luck next time.

Tommie Jameson, Wednesday, 27 November 2002 15:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Hmmm...I'm not in complete agreement with you this time, Jamie. I lurrrve the last two Radiohead albums. I still commend your pro-Muse stance, though!

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 15:41 (twenty-three years ago)

give us what I want: just disappear.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 17:13 (twenty-three years ago)

haha. Tommie Jameson, Jamie Thompson.. it's funny

Curtis Stephens, Wednesday, 27 November 2002 19:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Radiohead going 'back to guitars' would be the biggest mistake anyone made since Bono decided to be born.

Callum (Callum), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 20:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Radiohead's guitar days were WEAK.

matt riedl (veal), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 20:24 (twenty-three years ago)

REM lost me after Green.

I can't stand Radiohead.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 20:28 (twenty-three years ago)

REM lost me after I heard them.

Callum (Callum), Wednesday, 27 November 2002 20:32 (twenty-three years ago)

this is something to do with indie, right?

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 28 November 2002 00:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Radiohead suck. R.E.M. rule. I'm neutral as far as bleeps are concerned.
