Basically, when Beggars Banquet records started, they had a few original acts: The Lurkers, Tubeway Army and Johnny G.
Now, the first two proved to be popular and had a series of records out until they split or escaped to new pastures.
However, Johnny G seemed to have no discernible success or following, but got to make singles, albums (some with free extra albums added) until 1982 or so.
Why is that? Cast iron contract? Cheap running costs? Owned shares?
I won't comment on the records themselves,I've not heard any of them...

Was he not fairly popular on the pub circuit? i barely remember his name, have never heard him but do seem to recall him as a constant presence in the music papers' live listings.
Also, and this is purely speculation, but i often wondered if in the early years Beggars Banquet didn't really have a clue what they were up to but then unexpexctedly hit paydirt early on with Tubeway Army. That would have given them the resources to keep funding loss making Johnny G.
