Not a whole lot of talk about this synth-pop outfit on ILM--or at least, nothing easily identifiable (you try searching that name). What do we think of them? What's your fave track off of their sparkling, enchanting, ridiculous self-titled debut?

Will probably end up going with "Modigliani," at least in part because the association of that synth riff with Planes, Trains and Automobiles will never not make me tear up, but "Boy" and "I Touch Roses" will put up a fight.

yes! love them. was surprised to find no thread a while back -- "I Touch Roses" could have (a dozen of) its own. only "Tarzan Boy" rivals it when I need to go quiet and levitate.

I'm looking forward to revisiting this album! First thought is "I Touch Roses" but probably only b/c it's been like 25 years since I've heard this.

Shoot, I jumped the gun while relistening and chose "You Make Me Feel So Good". Would now be "Book of Love".

Used to like them a lot (think Christgau may have got me onto them). My favourite song was "Lullaby" off the follow-up (where they covered "Tubular Bells"...can't say I remember how). I think "I Touch Roses" was the best and best-known song here, but it's been ages.

"Boy" is a great track... I was unfamiliar with it until encountering it in a movie.
