Best contemporary trap album?

„Contemporary“ to distinguish from T.I., Gucci and the like. Flocka is a borderline case but I omitted him to make it more interesting. The list is just some usual picks, meant more to start the conversation than answer the question. The distinction between mixtapes and LP's is not relevant for this discussion/poll

I think Cardi is traditional regular rap and Keef is obv drill even if trap obv bit it hard. Keef is obv the best album here, but Migos is the best "contemporary trap album"

Playboi Carti is absolutely unlistenable to me and I have no idea what anything is anymore.

not sure i have the ability to weigh in on whether said albums belong to the genre "contemporary trap" so i'm just going with the ones i like best

yeah idk about the categorization here, but i've resigned myself to the fact that all street-oriented rap music (aka non traditionalist boom-bap or "conscious" rap) will be called "trap" or "drill" from now on

denzel's album doesn't even really meet the surface definition of trap, and travis borrows a lot from trap but is in no way "trap muzik," if you know what i mean

Voted for Future because I'm no kind of trap specialist but I actually just listened to that album last week and still liked it. I agree both that it's a hard category to define at this point but also that I don't see Cardi as trap per se except by association.

keef is the best release amongst these. sremmlife probably second for me.

future, young thug & migos all have other releases i like better.

the first four options tower over the rest, tbh

Ick, forgot to vote. Agree that Cardi doesn't belong here at all.

Would've voted for Thug or Migos.
