karl bartos vs wolfgang flur?!

whos solo material do you like the best? for me it is karl bartos!

“I’m the Message” is a killer track from Bartos. I’m not aware of any Flur solo stuff at all.

He put out an album under the name Yamo back in the 90s. The one track I heard wasn’t so good.

bartos has 4 main solo releases but nothing too recent one which is a rock album that i do not care for but the rest is good and his remix of planet rock is good too and flur has 3 main solo releases including one this year but i do not care for them at all!

during the first lockdown i read wolfgangs autobiog.
by the end of it, i kind of understood why he got kicked out.

During 1983 Wolfgang Flür was beginning to spend less time in the studio. Since the band began using sequencers his role as a drummer was becoming less frequent. He preferred to spend his time travelling with his girlfriend. Flür was also experiencing artistic difficulties with the band. Though he toured the world with Kraftwerk as a drummer in 1981, his playing does not appear on that year's Computer World or on the 1986 album Electric Café. In 1987 he left the band and was replaced by Fritz Hilpert.

In February 1990 the band played a few secret shows in Italy. Karl Bartos left the band shortly afterwards.

Sonntagszeitung: He was with "Kraftwerk" for about 15 years.

Ralf Hütter: He was one of the drummers whom we engaged for tours and records. His statement is wrong. He cannot judge cycling because he has never cycled himself.

I'm imagining Ralf saying all that with a big sulky pout on his face.
