Leo Brouwer - Cuban Landscape With Rain

Does anyone know this piece? I saw the U of T guitar ensemble (12 classical guitars) play it on Tuesday. I found it remarkable the way the guitar interplay built up from the isolated harmonics/drops weaving around each other, building to the percussive blasts. I'm tempted to say it puts "Rain On Tin" to shame.

Can we make this a general contemporary classical guitar thread and talk about Joaquin Rodrigo as well? I've loved everything I've heard by him. Someone played "Invocation et Danse" at the same concert. Julian Bream's performance of "Tres Piezas Espanolas" must be among the most beautiful pieces of music I've listened to in a while. I don't know how to explain why I like it.

three years pass...
I play in the Hetfodshire County Classical Guitar Ensemble and we have played that piece, it sounds remarkable, especially when played in the church, the added acoustic made it sound fabolous. Beautiful pice of minimalism by a great composer.

Do you know of any good recordings of the piece?
