Tracy Turnblad herself, and later the youngest person ever to host a daytime talk show....such stellar accomplishments mean Hastings-on-Hudson's favourite daughter is mentioned in the lyrics of A LOT of songs. But which of them do you like most?

The Offspring's offering, culturally unsound as it is, has a special place in the hearts of many, and was even a #1 hit in the UK, stalling at just #53 back home. Won't be my pick though!

I get all of the circa Y2K references (including the slightly behind the times one there), but kind of wild to see that she's been mentioned in nearly as many post 2010.

Hole in the Head for me. I knew that, Strong and Pretty Fly growing up but I still didn't know who Ricki Lake was somehow.

Did not know about all of those songs---still see her in King of Queens re-runs: Doug's little sister, who has to deal with all kinds of crap, from him and some of his buddies and her parents, who think she's a butchie (ironically, considering the hetero probs). Seems not to be on there a lot, but there are a lot of eps never shown on any of our channels. Too bad, she's good.
